Aleksandar Vučić actually wanted to meet Donald Trump in the USA. But after two days of stay, he suddenly has to stop the trip. Is his planned Moscow trip at the game now?

Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić ended his stay in the United States at short notice and has returned home. According to a report by the newspaper “Blic”, he is said to have felt uncomfortable in early Friday afternoon and then used medical help.

Accordingly, Vučić left the United States without participating in the originally planned central dates such as a meeting with US President Donald Trump. The Serbian Presidential Office announced that they will publish more detailed information on the state of health of the head of state in the coming days.

At the time of the incident, Vučić prepared for further discussions after a meeting with US Congressman Claudia Tenney, the former governor Rod Blagojevich and Serbian-born entrepreneurs from the USA. Serbian finance minister Siniša Mali and media consultant Suzana Vasiljević were also in the same space.

Vučić traveled to the United States on April 30th. The program included discussions with leading representatives of the Republican Party and a meeting with former US President Donald Trump. At the beginning of the trip, he had met the ex-mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani.

Vučić is currently under pressure both internally and foreign policy. A wave of protests has been running against the government for months. For the day of work, several thousand people in the capital Belgrade and Novi Sad took to the streets on Thursday. In Novi Sad, a train station agency collapsed half a year ago, with 16 people dying. The incident was triggered by the protests.

In addition, Vučić’s planned participation in the Russian military parade for the “Day of the victory” in Moscow on May 9 triggered criticism. The EU foreign commissioner Kaja Kallas had warned the heads of state and government of EU countries and candidates for accession before participating in the victory parade on the Red Square. In view of the large -scale Russian war in Ukraine, the EU would not consider this as a trivial, she had said. It is not known whether Vučić’s travel plans have existed in the USA after the health incident.
