It is stated in the document that the power plant is planned to be implemented within the scope of Russia’s Moon program and international cooperation projects, and that Roscosmos aims to develop transportation vehicles with nuclear energy systems and send them into space after 2036.
Russia’s space goals until 2036 include deploying the national orbital station, as well as exploring the Moon with unmanned spacecraft and bringing soil samples from the Moon to Earth.
While the “Luna-26” mission is planned to be sent into space in 2028, the “Luna-27/1” and “Luna-27/2” vehicles are planned to be sent into space in 2029 and 2030, respectively; The “Luna-28”, “Luna-29” and “Luna-30” missions are expected to be carried out in the 2032-2036 period.
Russia also aims to explore Venus and Mars with unmanned spacecraft after 2036 and to develop resources on the Moon and asteroids.
