BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.93 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 12,363.22 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 12,363.22 points as of 13:00, an increase of 114.18 points and 0.93 percent compared to the previous closing.
The total transaction volume was 58.2 billion lira. While the banking index lost 0.22 percent of its value, the holding index gained 0.10 percent.
Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was metal goods with 2.07 percent, and the biggest loser was financial leasing factoring with 7.19 percent.
While global markets are showing a mixed trend due to the strong selling pressure in the bond market, all eyes are on the non-agricultural employment data to be announced today in the USA.
Domestically, while the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul followed a positive trend in the first half of the day, the statements made after the Second Fund Board Meeting are in the focus of investors.
According to the statement made by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, the Second Fund Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
At the meeting, the payment schedule prepared by the CMB regarding fund accounts was evaluated. The statement included the following: “The necessary work will be carried out quickly and effectively, within the framework of the capital market rules regarding the solution of the problem, considering equity and justice.”
Analysts stated that an intense data agenda, especially non-agricultural employment data in the USA, will be followed for the rest of the day, and noted that technically, 12,500 and 12,600 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 12,200 and 12,100 points are support.
