With the decisions published in the Official Gazette dated October 1, 2026, new appointments were made at the level of vice president and general manager in the Cyber ​​Security Directorate. The Presidency’s organization includes the general directorates of Cyber ​​Defence, Cyber ​​Resilience, Ecosystem Development, Digital State and Public Artificial Intelligence. With the new appointments, the Directorate’s management team, especially in the fields of cyber defense, digital state and artificial intelligence, has been strengthened.

PREVENTIVE INTERVENTION

The Cyber ​​Security Directorate’s mandate is not limited to intervening after an attack occurs. Presidential; It is responsible for increasing the cyber resilience of public institutions and critical infrastructures, detecting attacks in advance, identifying security vulnerabilities, conducting risk analyzes and performing penetration tests when necessary.. Examining malware and creating cyber threat intelligence are also among the duties.

LENS FROM ENERGY TO FINANCE

One of the most important areas targeted by cyber attacks is critical infrastructures.. The duties of the Presidency include determining which infrastructures are critical, inventorying the digital assets of these institutions, and conducting risk analyzes for the systems they own. In this context, cyber security of areas dependent on digital systems such as energy, communication, finance, transportation, health and public services comes to the fore.

CYBER INTELLIGENCE

One of the important topics of the new era will be cyber threat intelligence.. The Presidency aims to develop preventive measures against possible attacks by monitoring and analyzing cyber threats. In the current structure of the institution, cyber threat intelligence and vulnerability management are considered among the basic elements of the national cyber security capacity.

HEAD OFFICE STRUCTURE

One of the striking topics of the new structure is the General Directorate of Public Artificial Intelligence. With the widespread use of artificial intelligence in the public sector, the problem for the state is not only to develop artificial intelligence applications; Regulation of issues such as security, transparency, ethical use and accountability of the data used by these systems. The Cyber ​​Security Presidency plays a role in policy and standard studies for the reliable, ethical, transparent and legal use of public artificial intelligence.

EXPERTS WANTED IN 47 DIFFERENT FIELDS

Efforts to increase the capacity of the Presidency are not limited to high-level appointments.. In the personnel recruitment announced in August, it was announced that expert personnel will be recruited in 47 different fields of duty, from cyber threat intelligence to digital forensics, from artificial intelligence to critical infrastructure security.
