The June figures of the Housing Price Index announced by the CBRT have been announced. Although house prices increased by 2 percent in June, the real loss was 5.8 percent.
In June, housing prices increased the most in Izmir with 3.1 percent. The increase in Istanbul was 2.1 percent.
The statement made by the CBRT is as follows:
“Housing Price Index (HPI) (2023=100), which is calculated to monitor price changes excluding the quality effect of houses in Türkiye, increased by 2.0 percent compared to the previous month in June 2026 and reached 231.5.
KPI, which increased by 24.5 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, decreased by 5.8 percent in real terms in the same period.
In June 2026, an increase of 2.1, 1.0 and 3.1 percent, respectively, was observed in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 25.3, 25.5 and 22.6 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
When the annual housing price index changes of the regions are examined according to the Statistical Regional Units Classification, the highest annual increase in the June 2026 period was observed in Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye region with 33.1 percent, and the lowest annual increase was observed in Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ region with 16.5 percent.
YKKE, which increased by 2.3 percent in June 2026 compared to the previous month, increased by 29.2 percent in nominal terms and decreased by 2.2 percent in real terms compared to the same month of the previous year.
YKKE increased by 2.5, 2.0 and 2.6 percent, respectively, in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir in June 2026, compared to the previous month. Index values increased by 33.4, 30.7 and 28.4 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.
When the annual new tenant rent index changes of the regions are examined according to the Statistical Regional Units Classification, the highest annual increase in the June 2026 period was observed in the Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Osmaniye region with 33.7 percent, and the lowest annual increase was observed in the Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ region with 22.6 percent.
