The guide includes information on the principles of the new model, such as the purposes of agricultural planning, changes in supports, how to benefit from support payments, renting agricultural lands, and supports provided to women and young farmers.
“WE CREATED OUR AGRICULTURAL POLICIES WITH A VISION THAT WILL TRANSFER IT TO THE FUTURE”
In his evaluation on the subject, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that investment in agriculture means investment in every individual of the society, every inch of the homeland and every sector.
Pointing out that the steps taken regarding agriculture need a long-term, meticulous and sensitive plan and program because they leave their mark in every field, Yumaklı said, “Daily prepared studies will not only destroy the accumulation of the past, but may also cause major problems in the future. In every speech so far, ‘Actually, ‘We have a lot of agricultural potential, but we have never been able to implement planning in agriculture.’ “There were complaints. We have made great progress in this regard, we have completed all the legal regulations regarding planned agriculture.” he said.
Yumaklı pointed out that agricultural production planning, by focusing on water, reveals how much and how which product should be produced in which area, and said:
“We have created our agricultural policies with a vision that will both dominate the present and carry them into the future. As our President said, ‘The path to a strong Turkey is through strong agriculture.’ “We will continue to strive with all our strength to bring agriculture to the peak of productivity, quality, health, sustainability and competitiveness in order to realize the Turkey Century.”
