US artificial intelligence company OpenAI announced that it has made Sora, an artificial intelligence video creation tool from text, available for general use.

According to the statement made on the company’s website, Sora Turbo, which is offered at “sora.com”, has the ability to perform faster transactions, while users can create videos with text inputs at 1080p resolution and up to 20 seconds.

In its statement, the company announced that the ChatGPT Pro plan provides advantages such as 10 times more usage rights and resolution above 720p for those who want more features and high resolution.

Sora Turbo, which is not available for use by those under 18, can be accessed wherever ChatGPT is available, except the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the European Economic Area.

THE POSSIBILITY OF SORA’S MISUSE RAISES CONCERNS

On the other hand, concerns about Sora are also increasing. After the videos produced by artificial intelligence are used in areas such as “fraud, propaganda and misinformation”, the possibility of Sora being used for malicious purposes delays the use of new artificial intelligence, especially in Europe.

While the company announced that excessive violence, sexual content, hate images and content featuring famous faces would be prohibited in Sora, it also stated that important security measures were being taken before launching the model.

CHINESE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE COMPANY PRODUCED ITS OWN ‘SORA’

In the race for artificial intelligence that produces video in text, China also stands out with the products it has developed. Kling AI, an artificial intelligence tool that turns text-based descriptions into high-quality videos, was developed by China’s Kuaishou Technology.

Kling AI, whose beta version was released to users around the world in July this year, made a splash around the world with its Sora-like abilities.
