Fuel chain BP’s 111-year adventure in Türkiye has ended. The company will transfer its fuel and terminal operations in the country to Petrol Ofisi.

BP had 770 fuel stations and license rights in the Turkish market.

THE NAMES OF BP STATIONS WILL BE CHANGED

All of BP’s fuel and terminal operations in Turkey were sold to Petrol Ofisi (PO) Group with the approval of the Competition Authority on September 12.

The agreement in question was signed on November 14, 2023.

Following the agreement, the names of all fuel stations bearing BP’s name will change.

OTHER SHARES WILL ALSO BE TRANSFERRED

In addition to the shares of BP Turkey Refining Limited and BP Petrolleri AŞ, the shares in ATAŞ, Çekisan and Ambarlı joint venture terminals will also be transferred to Petrol Ofisi.

STATEMENT FROM PETROL OFİSİ

Petrol Ofisi Group Chief Executive (CEO) Mehmet Abbasoğlu said about the acquisition: “We are very happy to welcome the new century of our Republic with a transaction that will set a reference for the sector.” he said.
