The Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) will be compulsory from tomorrow on the “TS 825-Binets standard in TS 825-Binets”, which is revised to increase energy savings and minimize heat losses in buildings.

The standard was revised and updated by TSE on October 21, 2024 for energy efficiency.

The standard updates were made in line with sector needs and technological developments. As a result of the evaluations made with the contributions of public institutions, non -governmental organizations and experts in the sector, the scope of TS 825 was expanded.

With the new regulation, it is aimed to reduce heating and cooling costs, to use energy resources more efficiently and to contribute to environmental sustainability.

It will contribute to the national economy and the environment

The insulation classification, which was previously divided into 4 regions, was increased to 6 regions considering climatic conditions. As of April 1, the insulation calculations to be implemented in the buildings were rebuilt according to regional climatic conditions.

Rules from the thermal performance of the buildings to floor heat transfer, heating and cooling to energy requirements, from building materials to surface temperatures are included in the standards determined by the TSE.

Thus, it is envisaged to maintain a 25 percent decrease in energy bills by maintaining comfort conditions in buildings. In addition, in new buildings to be built every year, a total of 2.5 taravat clock energy savings and Atatürk Dam will be equivalent to equivalent to energy production.

In addition, significant contributions will be made to its environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions by 600 million tons per year.

The revised TS 825 standard aims to accurately calculate the net heating and cooling energy needs of buildings, to optimize energy losses and earnings. Thus, by minimizing energy consumption, the costs of individual users will be reduced and energy efficiency will be increased throughout the country.

It is aimed to make a significant contribution not only to individual consumers but also to the national economy.

Energy efficiency will be reduced by increasing thermal insulation. At the same time, citizens will relax economically by paying lower energy bills. In the environmental point of view, lowering carbon emissions will be a critical step for the sustainable future.
