The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) made a statement about a huge asteroid rapidly approaching the Earth. The space agency reported that on the morning of December 24, a huge asteroid called 2024 XN1 will pass to Earth without posing a danger.
It was recorded that the asteroid, which is the size of a 10-storey building, will pass at a distance of 7.21 million kilometers from Earth, traveling at a speed of more than 23 thousand kilometers per hour.
Astronomer Jess Lee from the Royal Greenwich Observatory said that the probability of the asteroid hitting the Earth is zero, adding: “The asteroid will be quite far away, so it does not pose a danger to the Earth. “If an object of this size had hit our planet, the consequences would have been very devastating,” he said.
