Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu met with Instagram officials. A statement is expected from the Ministry regarding the meeting.
Before the meeting, Minister Uraloğlu said, “A meeting was held last week with the authorities of the social media platform Instagram, to which we have blocked access due to the policies it has implemented within the scope of catalogue crimes.
During the meeting, our sensitivities regarding compliance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey were conveyed.
We will meet with them again this afternoon.
“We hope that they will do what is necessary to meet our demands; we expect positive developments,” he said.
