Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, 2.27 percent on a monthly basis, 39.05 on an annual basis, evaluated the inflation figures.
Saying that inflation has declined for nine months, Şimşek said that they will continue policies that will permanently increase the purchasing power of citizens.
Minister Şimşek’s evaluation is as follows;
“The annual inflation, which has declined for nine months, was 39.1 percent in February.
Annual inflation in basic goods decreased by 32 points compared to the same month of the previous year, 21.7 percent and service inflation decreased by 35 points 59.8 percent. We expect the stable decrease in inflation to continue thanks to the policies of finances and income policies that support the disinflation process.
We will decisively implement our policies in order to achieve the price stability that will permanently improve the purchasing power and income distribution of our citizens. “
