From his NSosyal account, Şimşek made an evaluation about the World Bank’s additional financing of 400 million euros for Türkiye’s wind and storage investments.
Emphasizing that green transformation is a necessity for Türkiye, Şimşek said:
“In the last 23 years, our total energy imports have reached 1.1 trillion dollars. By increasing the share of domestic and renewable resources in energy, we reduce foreign dependency and direct our resources to areas that will enable us to move up the added value chain. With the long-term and favorable condition financing of 400 million euros provided by the World Bank, we support renewable energy investments and strengthen our resilience by accelerating the transformation in energy.”
