12.31 pm: According to Palestinian sources, at least seven people were killed in an Israeli attack on a former school building in the north of the contested Gaza Strip. Among the dead was the director general of the housing ministry, which is controlled by the Islamist Hamas, according to medical sources. There were also injured people.
