MINIMUM WAGE DETERMINATION COMMISSION IS MEETING
The date when the Minimum Wage Determination Commission will meet has been announced. The first meeting to determine the new minimum wage, which will be implemented as of January 2025 and applied throughout the year, will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 16:00.
UNIONS AND MINISTER IŞIKHAN WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE MEETING
The meeting, which will be held under the leadership of the Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, will be attended by the Confederation of Turkish Employers’ Unions (TİSK) and TÜRK-İŞ, the confederation with the most members on the workers’ side. TİSK Secretary General Akansel Koç will be the chairman of the employer delegation.
The chairman of the workers’ delegation will be TÜRK-İŞ Deputy Chairman Ramazan Ağar. This year, the workers’ delegation headed by Ağar will include cook Selma Sayın, hairdresser Nihan Koçak, Highways subcontracted worker Durmuş Öztürk and press member Sezer Özseven.
