MHP Yozgat Deputy İbrahim Ethem Sedef presented a new law proposal to the Turkish Grand National Assembly that will make it easier for retirees to own a house.
The proposal envisages adding an additional article titled “Retirement housing” to the Mass Housing Law.

PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO PENSIONERS WITHOUT HOMES

According to the regulation, priority will be given to retirees who do not have a registered house and live on rent in social housing projects to be carried out by TOKİ. This will pave the way for retirees, especially those who have difficulty in the face of high rental prices, to own a house under more favorable conditions.

LONG-TERM FINANCING MODEL WITH ZERO INTEREST

Within the scope of the proposal, TOKİ will be able to develop zero-interest and long-term housing finance programs for retirees.
Payment conditions of eligible retirees will be determined by taking into account their pension, income status and social conditions.
In this way, the aim is to create payment plans that will not strain the budgets of low-income retirees.

IT WILL BE FOUND FROM THE FINANCIAL CENTER BUDGET

It is planned to finance social housing projects for retirees from the central government budget. It is envisaged that priority will be given to the projects, especially in regions where rent and housing costs are high.
