KKM accounts decreased by 36.3 billion TL

Exchange-Protected Turkish lira Deposits and Participation Accounts (KKM) decreased by 36 billion 397 million liras last week, falling to 1 trillion 338 billion 568 million liras.

According to the weekly bulletin of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), the credit volume of the sector increased by 90 billion 616 million lira as of November 1.

The total credit volume of the banking sector increased by 90 billion 616 million liras in the week of November 1, from 15 trillion 43 billion 383 million liras to 15 trillion 133 billion 998 million liras.

Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbanks, increased by 7 billion 250 million liras last week, reaching 18 trillion 26 billion 417 million liras.

THE AMOUNT OF CONSUMER CREDITS WAS 1 TRILLION 885 BILLION LIRA

The amount of consumer loans increased by 14 billion 179 million lira as of November 1, reaching 1 trillion 884 billion 844 million lira. Of the amount in question, 481 billion 486 million lira consisted of housing loans, 75 billion 604 million lira from vehicle loans and 1 trillion 327 billion 754 million lira from consumer loans.

During this period, the amount of installment commercial loans increased by 9 billion 534 million liras and reached 1 trillion 982 billion 37 million liras.

Banks’ individual credit card receivables increased by 2.7 percent, reaching 1 trillion 677 billion 179 million liras. Of the individual credit card receivables, 570 billion 930 million liras were installment debts and 1 trillion 106 billion 249 million liras were non-installment debts.

LEGAL EQUITY INCREASED

As of November 1, non-performing receivables in the banking sector increased by 6 billion 829 million liras compared to the previous week, reaching 274 billion 621 million liras. A special provision was allocated for 201 billion 715 million liras of non-performing receivables.

In the same period, the legal equity capital of the banking system increased by 3 billion 24 million liras and reached 3 trillion 293 billion 79 million liras.

The KKM balance decreased by 2.6 percent and 36 billion 397 million lira last week to 1 trillion 338 billion 568 million lira.

Thus, the size of KKM became 7.43 percent of the total deposits.
