Heavy penalty for delay in salaries is on the road

Isa Karakas, with the amendments to be made in the Labor Law, the rights of employees who receive their salaries late or missing will be protected more closely. In order to impose a penalty for the employer in the current arrangements, the search for the “caste” requirement constitutes a serious obstacle, Karakaş said that this condition will be abolished with the new regulation and that the employer’s salary payment can be sentenced to direct administrative fines.

New Assurance to Official Holiday Fees

On public holidays, the current legislation on the wage rights of employees will be reconsidered. With the new legal regulation, it is aimed to clarify the rights of the workers working on public holidays and to eliminate the uncertainties in practice.

Working method and duration will be documented

Karakaş stated that the documentation of working forms and duration will be made compulsory. Especially in flexible working models, the definition deficiencies encountered in the new law will be eliminated by the new law Karakaş, wage types (daily, hourly or fixtures) will be determined clearly and stressed that the record will be recorded.

Annual leave rights are expanding

The right to annual paid leave will be expanded with the new scope. Accordingly, agricultural laborers and artisan craftsmen working in enterprises with more than three employees will be able to benefit from annual paid leave. The regulation will be shaped within the framework of Article 2 of the Code of Tradesmen and Craftsmen.

These changes, which are planned to be made, are expected to contribute to the establishment of a more fair structure in job security, social rights and wage system.
