JD Vance had his power played as Vice President for a family outing-and engineers from the US military artificially increase the water level of Little Miami River. This is reported by the British “Guardian” and relies on the USA, the US Army engineering corps. Social media posts show that Vance was spotted on a canoe trip on the river on August 2-on the day of his 41st birthday.
The USA’s step justifies the step with security reasons, but according to an anonymous source of the “Guardian”, the higher water level was above all created “ideal kayak conditions”. The river has already been adapted to other occasions in the past. In the case of previous cases, however, this was not only possible for a single person. A source familiar with the procedure told Guardian that this did not correspond to the ordinary approach.
Vance, according to the accusation, has used public funds and public infrastructure. The ethics lawyer Richard Painter, who also worked for the government of George W. Bush, told the newspaper that the step could quickly be perceived as “hypocritical”.
This is precisely the case because the US government has drastically shortened authorities like National Park Service. The JD Vance office has not commented on the allegations.
