According to the news in Türkiye Gazetesi, changes are ongoing in the Turkish Labor Law, which directly concerns 30 million employees. According to the information obtained, the government has accelerated its work to make new regulations on many topics, from wages to working hours, from general holiday pay to flexible working hours, from weekly leave to annual leave.
The issue was also discussed at the Coordination Board for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOİKK) held last week under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
LEGISLATION WILL BE CHANGED
The meeting discussed conducting technical work to identify needs arising in working styles. It was decided to determine the legislative change needs for new generation flexible working models such as remote, part-time and temporary working and platform working, taking into account the requirements of the business world and the work-private life balance.
WORKING HOURS MAY DECREASE
Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced in June that work would begin on the flexible working model included in the Public Savings and Efficiency Package, that they would meet with all relevant parties on the subject, and noted that the issue would also be brought to the agenda at the International Labor Organization (ILO) meeting.
