Iran fires further rockets on Tel Aviv

An unprecedented major attack on Iran is running. Now the Islamic Republic is striking back with rocket attacks. Explosions are reported from Tel Aviv.
The Iranian army started a massive wave of attack on Israel on Saturday night. As AFP journalists reported, there were numerous explosions to be heard in Jerusalem Luftalarm, there and in Tel Aviv. Iranian state television reported a “renewed wave of rocket attacks” on Israel, which had been started from Tehran and the Westiranian city of Kermannschah. The attacks continued in the early morning.
An air alarm had previously been triggered in several parts of the country. The population was called to go to shelter. According to the Israeli rescue service, David Adom stomachs have been admitted to hospitals in the region around the coastal metropolis Tel Aviv. The Israeli army once again called on the population to go into shelter. The air alarm was triggered in “several areas of Israel” after rocket fire from Iran was found. In the morning people were allowed to leave the shelters again.
Meanwhile, Israel continued to apply military goals in Iran. “During the night, the Air Force made dozens of goals, including infrastructure for anti -aircraft missiles, with the aim of damaging the capacity for air defense in the area around Tehran,” said the Israeli army.
The air defense was again activated in the Iranian capital Tehran. Eyewitnesses and local media reported explosions in the center and northeast of Tehran. Apparently the airport in the capital was damaged.
Iran had started a first difficult counterattack on Israel in the evening. According to the Israeli military, fewer than 100 rockets were fired on the country, most of them were intercepted or had missed their goal, the military said.
Several buildings would have been damaged. Among other things, a high -rise that is not far from the Israeli Ministry of Defense was hit. In the reports, there was talk of damage in the greater Tel Aviv and the nearby city of Ramat Gan.
According to media reports, the Israeli army is currently also receiving support from the USA in the air defense. The shooting of CNN and the Axios news portal reported. They referred to representatives of the US government that are not mentioned by name.
The United States emphasizes that they are not participating in the Israeli attacks on Iran. The US military had already supported Israel in Tehran’s attacks in the missile defense against attacks-at that time under President Joe Biden. Even under Donald Trump’s predecessor, the United States did not openly participated in Israeli attacks in Iran.
