According to information obtained from the Turkish Environment Agency affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the national integration process started on July 1 in the DOA system continues.
Antalya, Izmir and Istanbul stand out among the provinces that show the most interest in the system. In these provinces, both the intensity of use of return points and participation in the system are higher compared to other provinces.
While the number of people registered to the mobile application within the scope of the DOA system is 3 million, all of these users actively use the system.
ONE WHO RETURNS THEIR PACKAGING EARNS 1 LIRA
Within the scope of the DOA system, the 1 lira incentive fee that citizens earn for each eligible packaging they return is transferred to the DOA Wallet. Citizens can use their balances for shopping, transfer them to their bank accounts, withdraw them from ATMs and use them for bill payments.
This allows citizens to use the incentive money they earn for different needs in their daily lives.
DOA WALLET’S USE POSSIBILITIES WILL BE IMPROVED
In order to increase citizens’ participation in the system, different campaigns and practices are being implemented in addition to financial incentives.
In this context, projects such as the “100 thousand Packaging Challenge” aim to support citizens’ more active participation in the system and spread the recycling habit.
In the coming period, it is aimed to improve the usage opportunities of DOA Wallet and to make the system more attractive with different incentive and participation models.
These efforts aim to make packaging return an easy, accessible and permanent part of daily life.
