There are some areas for which consumers cannot take out legal protection insurance. Do you know what these are?
If you want to take out legal protection insurance, you have to think carefully about what type of disputes it should cover. Because: There is usually no insurance that covers every legal area. Some areas are not covered by any policy.
“This includes, for example, inheritance disputes or divorces,” says Julia Alice Böhne from the Association of Insured Persons (BdV). In the case of disputes in family and inheritance law, the insurance only pays for the initial consultation with a lawyer – provided you have completed the relevant module.
There is also no or at most very limited legal protection in the event of conflicts relating to building a house, buying or selling a building plot and building financing. The same applies, among other things, to disputes regarding speculative investments as well as gaming and betting contracts.
