Inflation rose in the euro zone

Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Euro Zone rose to 2.5 percent annually in January.

The European Statistics Office (Eurostat), Euro Zone and the European Union (EU) published the final inflation data of January.

According to the data, the annual inflation, which was 2.4 percent in December in the Eurozone, increased to 2.5 percent in the January. CPI was 0.3 percent on a monthly basis on January.

Core inflation in the Eurozone was measured by 2.7 percent annually in the stove and 0.9 percent monthly minus. Thus, in January, the euro zone inflation rate exceeded the 2 percent level, the target of the European Central Bank (ECB).

In addition, the inflation rate in the Eurozone has increased every month since September.

When we look at the main components of inflation in the euro zone, the highest annual inflation was realized in services with 1.77 percent. Services, food, alcohol and tobacco products with 0.45 percent, energy products with 0.18 percent, 0.12 percent of industrial products were followed.

Annual inflation, which was 2.7 percent in December in the EU, rose to 2.8 percent in January. In the EU, CPI did not change monthly in January.

According to EU -compliant data, the countries where inflation is highest on the January basis was Hungary with 5.7 percent, Romania with 5.3 percent, Croatia with 5 percent and Belgium with 4.4 percent with 5 percent.

Annual inflation in January was determined by 2.8 percent in Germany, 1.8 percent in France, 1.7 percent in Italy and 2.9 percent in Spain.
