The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) reported that 12-month-ahead annual inflation expectations decreased for market participants, the real sector and households in December.
CBRT published “Sectoral Inflation Expectations” for December 2024.
Sectoral Inflation Expectations were obtained by compiling the 12-month annual consumer inflation expectations of finance and real sector experts, manufacturing industry companies and households with the Consumer Tendency Survey conducted in cooperation with the Market Participants Survey, Economic Tendency Survey and Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
Accordingly, annual inflation expectations for the next 12 months in December decreased by 0.1 point to 27.1 percent for market participants, decreased by 0.2 points to 47.6 percent for the real sector, and decreased by 1 point to 63.1 percent for households. .
The rate of households expecting inflation to decrease in the next 12 months remained unchanged compared to the previous month, at 26.3 percent.
