Millions of employees were waiting with curiosity. Türk-İş Chairman Ergün Atalay announced the new minimum wage proposal.

Here is the number that concerns millions…

Türk-İş Chairman Ergun Atalay; “First of all, the employer must explain what they will give. We have been waiting for a figure until today.” He started his statements about the minimum wage for 2025 using his words.

Continuing his statements, he made the following statements about the increase in the minimum wage and the welfare share:

“The reason why we have not announced it until now is this: The employer and the government should explain it. Right now, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek says that the country is getting better. If it is getting better, the minimum wage has become a living wage. Explain a living wage that will keep the job and the family breathing, so that we can all be happy about it.

“As minimum wage workers, our suggestion is 29,583 TL with a welfare share of 20% by adding a welfare share over 45% inflation.”
