Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar Games, recently held an important meeting with the company’s shareholders. At this meeting, an important statement was made about the language support that GTA 6 will be released and that new languages will be added to the game after its release. The meeting could also be followed online from outside. According to the information shared, Take-Two announced at the meeting that GTA VI will be released in the 13 languages previously announced. So, it has become clear that there will be no Turkish language at launch.
NEW LANGUAGES AFTER LAUNCH!
Official details shared by Take-Two show that GTA 6 will meet players with a limited language pool on the first day. There is no Turkish subtitle or interface support in the first list of 13 languages announced. This situation ensures that local players who will experience the game on console release will have to follow the story and missions in a foreign language.
We know that Rockstar Games followed a similar strategy in its previous productions and did not immediately undertake a large-scale localization move on the release days. Therefore, although the first day table is not surprising, it takes the players’ expectations to the next level.
It is not yet clear which new languages will be added or on what schedule they will be transferred to the game. Although there is no final commitment for Turkish at this stage, the possibilities are shaped by the following scenarios:
With PC Version: Rockstar Games usually releases the PC version a certain time after the console release. It is common for new localization packages to coincide with this major update period.
Major Post-Launch Updates: Depending on the GTA Online infrastructure and seasonal content calendar, new interface and subtitle languages may be added to the game at regular intervals.
