Fraudsters who called Dudu Çingil by pretending to be a bank officer in Antalya said that they would deposit the credit card fee into her account. The fraudsters, who gained Çingil’s trust by depositing the money into the account, took out loans from 2 banks in the name of the woman whose information they took. Çingil, who realized that he had been defrauded by the warning of the officer who called from the second bank from which the loan was taken, took his incident to court.

Explaining that he was called from a line that looked like a bank contact number, Dudu Çingil said, “I was called from a number 0850. They asked for my IBAN number, saying ‘We will pay the credit card fee’, and then they deposited the money into my account. It was a very complex and full of words. The conversation continued: ‘ They asked for an IBAN number from another bank. But in the background, I gave them the IBAN number of my account in another bank. “They took out a loan. The phone call lasted 20 minutes. At the end of the 20 minutes, I learned that a loan was taken in my name with the warning of the second bank.” Çingil complained about those who defrauded him.

HE TOOK HIS VICTIMACY TO COURT

At the hearing held at Antalya 2nd Consumer Court, Dudu Çingil stated that he did not take out the loan himself, that he understood that he was defrauded by fraudsters who lingered on the phone for 20 minutes and took his information, and with the warning of the bank. Noting that one of the loans taken from two banks was canceled, Çingil stated that he paid the installment of 9 thousand 400 liras of the 81 thousand lira loan debt in the other bank. The court board ruled that Dudu Çingil was not in debt and that the loan installment of 9 thousand 400 lira should be taken from the bank and paid to him, the reasons for which would be explained in the attached decision.
