Recep Gencer was born in 1932 in Edincik neighborhood of Bandırma district of Balıkesir. After his education in the field of chemistry, he stepped into industrial life in the 1960s. Gencer, the founding name of Bagfaş, who was founded in 1968 and started production in the 1970s, was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for many years. The death of Recep Gencer, who made significant contributions to the Turkish industry and fertilizer sector, caused great sorrow in Bandırma and the business world.
The deceased’s funeral will be held on Thursday, July 3 at the Bagfaş Mosque in Bandırma after the afternoon prayer will be buried in Edincik Neighborhood
