Relations between China and the US, which allocates three-quarters of its defense budget to a possible war in the Pacific, are becoming increasingly strained. According to information from Army Recognition, one of the leading publications in the global defense media, China is conducting combat exercises against US air forces in secret military bases on its own territory. China is also testing its own air power and defense capacity with exercises using full-scale models of US aircraft equipped with engines of its own production.

AIR AND SEA EXERCISES

Satellite images shared by the Pentagon show that exact copies of US aircraft are being built at a secret military facility in the Taklamakan Desert in the country’s East Turkestan region. Ministry sources They share information that “air bombardment tactics are being tested” against China’s F-22s and F-35 model models, which are equipped with China’s own fighter jet engines and have the ability to fly.

Pentagon sources shared information that Beijing also produces one-to-one models of numerous US naval warships, including Arleigh Burke Class destroyers, as targets in the South China Sea and conducts combat exercises every month. According to the information obtained, combat vehicles from the Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) and the Navy are participating in the exercises.

AIRCRAFT CARRIER MODEL

According to military intelligence information obtained, China’s plan to set up realistic war simulations against a possible conflict with the United States is a plan that has been implemented over the last two years. It is also reported that China has even built a full-scale model of the US Navy’s USS Gerald R. Ford Aircraft Carrier and conducted naval exercises as part of its plan. In the images obtained by the Pentagon, it is also seen that some of the mobile or static models were bombed by Chinese Air Force planes. China’s strategic security documents also state that the first possible clashes with the US are expected to occur in the South China Sea and off the coast of Taiwan.

CHINA’S US STRATEGY

It is stated that China also uses DF-26s, which are known as “aircraft carrier destroyers” and are the most powerful anti-ship ballistic missiles in the world, in its naval exercises. China has developed this strategy within the framework of the tactic of limiting the US Navy in its own territorial waters. In Beijing’s strategic documents, this tactic is referred to as “A2/AD”. According to global indexes, China has the largest navy in the world in terms of the number of warships.

THEY CAME TO THE US SHORE

China’s strategies against a potential conflict with the US are ongoing not only on its own soil but also throughout the Pacific. Last month, China and Russia conducted a large-scale naval warfare exercise in the North and West Pacific. In August of last year, the two countries’ military fleets reached the Alaskan coast of the US. This incident, which marked the first time in history that the Chinese, Russian and US fleets have come face to face, was not the last of the tensions.

CONFLICT IS INEVITABLE

Last month, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) announced that aircraft from the United States and Canada intercepted two Russian Tu-95 bombers and Chinese Xi’an H-6 fighter jets near Alaskan airspace. Military experts, who have assessed the developments, warn that conflict is inevitable as a result of increasing mutual tensions.
