European stock markets are mixed on the first trading day of the week due to the lack of concrete progress towards ending the US/Israel-Iran War.

Geopolitical developments originating from the Middle East continue to determine the direction of the markets. In addition to the ongoing tension between the USA and Iran, Israel’s new attacks on Lebanon and statements that the USA may impose new economic sanctions on Iran increase geopolitical uncertainties.

Analysts stated that the factor that affects the markets the most is geopolitical uncertainties and that this situation puts pressure on risk appetite.

On the European side, a mixed course is observed as ongoing geopolitical risks increase oil prices.

As of 10.35 in European markets, the Stoxx Europe 600 indicator index is trading at 659 points, with a 0.2 percent increase, and the FTSE 100 index in the UK is trading at 10,783 points, with a 0.3 percent increase.

In Germany, the DAX 40 index is flat at 26,451 points, in Italy, the FTSE MIB 30 index is at 53,780 points, with a 0.4 percent gain in value, in France, the CAC 40 index is at 8,629 points, with a 0.1 percent decrease, and in Spain, the IBEX 35 index is at 20,110 points, with a 0.1 percent decrease.
