European stock markets are mixed, with expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) may raise interest rates due to accelerating inflation in the US and sharp declines in technology stocks.

With the acceleration of inflation in the USA, the strengthening of expectations that the Fed may increase interest rates deepened the losses in technology stocks.

Rising oil prices due to developments in the Middle East increase inflationary pressures, strengthening concerns that central banks may implement tighter monetary policies.

Concerns about whether billions of dollars of investment in the field of artificial intelligence will provide the expected return also increase the selling pressure in the markets.

The selling pressure in the shares of technology companies also had an impact on European stock markets.

On the other hand, growth in the UK in August was above expectations with 0.1 percent monthly and 2.1 percent annually. Following the growth data, the sterling/dollar parity increased by 0.4 percent and is at 1.3250.

With these developments, as of 10.35 in the European markets, the Stoxx Europe 600 index is at 635 points, with a 0.3 percent decrease, and the FTSE 100 index in the UK is at 10,759 points, with a 0.3 percent increase.

In Germany, the DAX 40 index is at 25,209 points, 0.4 percent below the previous close, in Italy, the FTSE MIB 30 index is at 49,496 points, with a 0.5 percent decrease, in France, the CAC 40 index is at 7,886 points, with a 0.2 percent gain, and in Spain, the IBEX 35 index is at 19,309 points, with a 0.4 percent gain in value.
