According to reports in the US media, the jury announced its verdict in the case held in the federal court in Oakland, California.
While the nine-person jury rejected Musk’s allegations against OpenAI executives, they ruled that the case was filed after the statute of limitations expired.
Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers also accepted the decision of the advisory jury as the verdict of the court and rejected Musk’s demands.
During the three-week trial, the jury heard the testimony of many names, including Musk, Altman, Brockman and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
In the lawsuit he filed in 2024, Elon Musk stated that he was betrayed by Altman and his “accomplices” and accused OpenAI of “chasing profit”.
In the lawsuit, Musk accused Altman and his partners of “betraying the company’s mission to benefit humanity.”
