Senator Adam Schiff and the Attorney General Letitia James have long been a thorn in the side of Donald Trump. Now he calls for her investigation against you – otherwise he fears a loss of credibility.

US President Donald Trump has publicly asked the Ministry of Justice to legally act against political opponents. In a contribution in online services that was apparently aimed at “Pam”, i.e. apparently to Justice Minister Pam Bondi, Trump complained on Saturday that no investigation against the California Senator Adam Schiff and the New York General Prosecutor Letitia James were initiated. Both belong to the opposition Democrats.

Trump’s close ally Bill Pulto, the head of the US Housing Liefing (FHFA), had accused Schiff, James and several other people for fake documents for mortgage applications. Trump has now requested the official introduction of investigations. “We can no longer hesitate, that destroys our reputation and our credibility,” wrote Trump.

Under the pressure of the President, a US public prosecutor had resigned on Friday who had refused to investigate Trump’s opponent. As the “New York Times” and other US media reported, the public prosecutor Erik Siebert, responsible for the eastern district of the US state of Virginia, submitted his resignation. According to reports from the “Washington Post”, Siebert had rejected the initiation of a fraud against James. As a reason, he stated that there was not enough evidence.

“I fired him and there is a big case, and many lawyers and right -wing experts see it that way,” Trump apparently said on Saturday with a view to the allegations against James. As the successor to Siebert, he nominated the lawyer Lindsey Halligan, who has previously worked in the White House.

According to media reports, Siebert is also said to have refused to act against the former FBI boss James Comey, who is also hostile to Trump. Comey determined in Trump’s election campaign for Russia in 2017 and was then released. Among other things, Trump accuses Comey of having lied to the congress.

In Trump’s first term, at that time, at that time as a congress member, the so-called Ukraine affair had played an important role in the first office discussion against the President. At that time, the Democrats had accused Trump of urging Ukraine to investigate his rival Joe Biden. In the Senate controlled by Trump’s Republicans, however, there was no majority for the president of the president.
