Iran signals its fundamental willingness to renew nuclear negotiations with the United States – but calls for President Donald Trump to moderate his tone. “If President Trump is serious with his wish for an agreement, he should take off his disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards the Supreme Guide of Iran, Großajatollah Ali Chamenei, to harm his millions of loyal supporters,” wrote Foreign Minister Abbas Araghtschi on the platform X. “Good will generate goodwill and respect.”

At the NATO summit, Trump had announced new conversations with Iran for the coming week, but without giving details. When asked whether he would bomb the Iran’s nuclear facilities again, if there were worries about Tehran’s uranium enrichment again, Trump replied on Friday: “Sure, without question, absolutely.” Iran should not have nuclear weapons. The recent attacks have thrown the nuclear program back by years, he affirmed.

After the Israeli and American attacks on Iranian atrial facilities, the Iranian Parliament passed a law this week that exposes cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA). According to experts, nuclear negotiations would not be possible without the technical supervision of the UN atomic authority.

In the night of Saturday there were several explosions in the Iranian capital Tehran. As eyewitnesses report on social media, several drones over the village of Bid Kaneh and the city of Malard in the west of Tehran were sighted. The air defense had become active and shot the flight objects.

There are no reports about possible damage or the origin of the drones shot down. There is no official statement by the Iranian regime.
