Presidency’s Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) stated that the claim that a location tax will be imposed on tradesmen does not reflect the truth.

In the statement made by DMM, it was stated that there is no tax to be imposed on tradesmen who share their location via social media accounts.

“The ‘Law No. 7221 on Amendments to Geographic Information Systems and Certain Laws’ does not cover tradesmen, but real and private law legal entities that generate income by producing geographical data included in the National Geographic Data Responsibility Matrix.” In the statement, it was asked not to trust the unfounded claims aimed at manipulating the public.
