The long-awaited moment for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, which PlayStation 5 users and PC players have been eagerly waiting for, has arrived. Kojima Productions has released the official Death Stranding 2 system requirements list for the PC version of the game. According to the announced list, the game offers optimized options for players with different hardware levels.

WHAT ARE THE MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS?

At low graphics settings, the game can run with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB graphics card. At this hardware level, an average 30 FPS performance is targeted at 1080p resolution. Although it does not offer a smooth experience, it is an accessible option for players who have not updated their system for a long time.

On the processor side, Intel Core i3-10100 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100 is recommended for this graphics level. As is customary on the PC platform, much more powerful components will be needed for higher resolutions and frame rates.

Low Settings (1080p / 30 FPS): At least GeForce GTX 1660 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (8GB) graphics card is required for entry level gaming.

Recommended High Settings (1440p / 60 FPS): For a smooth experience, GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 graphics card, Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor and 16 GB RAM are recommended.

Ultra Settings (4K / 60 FPS): Players aiming for the highest level of visual quality will need to have a powerful graphics card such as GeForce RTX 4080 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT.

These announced requirements show that the game will be able to run on a wide range of hardware and will have good optimization overall. Especially in the recommended settings, the required hardware remains at reasonable levels for today’s standards.

SPECIAL FOR PC VERSION

The PC version draws attention not only with its technical requirements but also with the new features it offers. The game will use upscaling technology called “Pico” for the first time on the PC. This technology was developed by Guerrilla Games and was also preferred in the PlayStation 5 version of the game.

Thanks to Pico, a more balanced structure between performance and image quality is aimed.

SCREEN SUPPORT IS COMING

The production also stands out with its wide screen support. Cutscenes can be watched in 21:9 aspect ratio. On the gameplay side, 32:9 display support will be offered. This feature will be active on both the PC and PS5 version.

It is not necessary to have an ultrawide monitor to use the ultrawide display option. Players will also be able to enable this experience on standard screens with the appropriate settings.
