The confidence index increased by 1.5 percent in the service sector and 0.1 percent in the retail trade sector in October compared to the previous month, while it decreased by 1.7 percent in the construction sector.
Turkish Statistical Institute announced the service, retail trade and construction confidence indices for October.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted confidence index increased by 1.5 percent in the service sector on a monthly basis in October to 114.2, in the retail trade sector it increased by 0.1 percent to 110.7, while in the construction sector it decreased by 1.7 percent to 86.3.
In the service sector, in October, compared to the previous month, the business situation increased by 2.4 percent in the last 3 months, the demand for services increased by 1.7 percent in the last 3 months, and the demand expectation for services in the next 3 months increased by 0.4 percent.
In the retail trade sector, while business volume-sales decreased by 1.3 percent in the last 3 months, the current goods stock level increased by 1.5 percent, and business volume-sales expectations in the next 3 months increased by 0.4 percent.
In the construction sector, while there was a 4 percent decrease in the current level of registered orders received, there was a 0.3 percent increase in the expectation of the total number of employees in the next 3 months.
