The confidence index decreased by 1.1 percent in the service sector, 1.5 percent in the retail trade sector and 0.9 percent in the construction sector in July compared to the previous month.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) announced the service, retail trade and construction confidence indices for July.
Accordingly, the seasonally adjusted confidence index decreased by 1.1 percent to 114.1 in the service sector, by 1.5 percent to 107.1 in the retail trade sector and by 0.9 percent to 87.1 in the construction sector in July compared to the previous month.
In the service sector, compared to the previous month in July, the employment situation in the last 3 months decreased by 1.9 percent, and the demand for services decreased by 2.6 percent in the last 3 months. The expectation for demand for services in the next 3 months increased by 1.2 percent.
In the retail trade sector, business volume-sales decreased by 6.2 percent in the last 3-month period. Business volume-sales expectations for the next 3-month period increased by 0.2 percent, and the current goods stock level increased by 2.8 percent.
In the construction sector, the current level of registered orders received decreased by 1 percent, and the expectation of the total number of employees in the next 3 months decreased by 0.9 percent.
