The Competition Board decided to open an investigation against 17 enterprises operating in the fields of tire production and distribution in the automotive industry.
According to the announcement on the Competition Authority’s website, competition-sensitive information exchange between competitors about undertakings operating in the field of tire production and distribution, agreements restricting competition, resale price determination, region and customer sharing between dealers and exclusivity agreements, as well as non-competition imposed on dealers. The preliminary investigation carried out regarding the allegation that the Law on the Protection of Competition was violated in terms of liability was concluded.
The Board, which discussed the information, documents and findings obtained in the preliminary investigation, found the findings serious and sufficient.

The 17 enterprises in question operate as manufacturers, distributors and dealers in the automotive tire industry.
On the other hand, the investigation decisions taken by the Board do not mean that the undertakings or associations of undertakings under investigation have violated the law and are or will face sanctions.
