Central Bank reserves decreased by 5.2 billion dollars

Total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) decreased by 5 billion 706 million dollars in the week of February 20 compared to the previous week, reaching 206 billion 78 million dollars.

CBRT announced weekly money and bank statistics. Accordingly, as of February 20, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by 5 billion 941 million dollars to 73 billion 645 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 79 billion 586 million dollars on February 13.

During this period, gold reserves increased by 234 million dollars, from 132 billion 199 million dollars to 132 billion 433 million dollars.

Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 5 billion 706 million dollars in the week of February 20 compared to the previous week, from 211 billion 784 million dollars to 206 billion 78 million dollars.
