Donald Trump has another discoloration on the back of his hand. This time it doesn’t come from shaking hands.
At the presentation of his Gaza Peace Council in Davos, observers noticed a detail on Donald Trump’s hand. A bruise was clearly visible on the back of the hand. The White House gave an explanation for a bruise on the US president’s left hand. His spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt told CNN that Trump hit the back of his hand against the edge of a table when he founded his “peace council” in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.
It was the “signing table” on which Trump and the representatives of 19 other countries signed the body’s founding document on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, CNN quoted the spokeswoman as saying. The dark spot was clearly visible during the US President’s appearance in Davos, as an AFP photographer reported. The “Peace Council” is intended to resolve conflicts worldwide in competition with the United Nations; it gives Trump a far-reaching role beyond his presidency.
So far, prominent spots have mainly been noticed on Trump’s right hand. The White House justified it by saying that the right-handed Trump was constantly shaking hands. Shortly before the turn of the year, US media reported for the first time about similar bruises on Trump’s left hand. The president himself explained the skin change by saying that he takes aspirin every day, which has a blood-thinning effect. During Trump’s public appearances, such areas were often covered with make-up.
Trump is the oldest president ever to be sworn in in the United States. The 79-year-old describes himself as being in excellent health. However, he has repeatedly fallen asleep during official appointments at the White House in recent months, fueling speculation about his condition. Trump had insulted his predecessor Joe Biden as “sleepy Joe” and described him as having a devastating physical and mental condition.
