BIST 100 index closed the trading day with an increase in Borsa Istanbul.
BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul closed the day with a 0.74 percent increase at 10,098.50 points.
While BIST 100 index increased by 74.19 points compared to the previous close, the total transaction volume reached 83.7 billion liras.
While the banking index lost 0.29 percent of its value, the holding index gained 1.22 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was financial leasing factoring with 2.66 percent, while the one that lost the most was insurance with 1.02 percent.
Analysts said a mixed course was evident in global stock markets, with the decline in unemployment benefits providing some relief following weak employment data from the US last week, which raised recession concerns.
Analysts stated that domestic industrial production and inflation data in China and Germany will be monitored tomorrow, and noted that technically, 10,200 and 10,300 points are resistance and 9,800 and 9,750 points are support in the BIST 100 index.
