BİM United Stores Inc. made a statement to KAP about two separate investigations carried out by the Competition Authority.
The company announced that it reached a compromise. In the statement made by the company, it was stated that as a result of the compromise, it would pay 25 percent less penalty with an early payment discount.
The company will pay a penalty of approximately 50,413,372 TL.
The statement made by BİM to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) is as follows;
“In our PDP statement dated 10.03.2025, it was reported that two investigations were opened by the Competition Authority against various retail companies and suppliers, including our Company.
For one of the investigations, it was decided that our Company did not violate Article 4 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition and therefore there was no need to impose an administrative fine in accordance with Article 16 of the same Law.
For the other subject of investigation, in accordance with the Capital Markets Board’s (II-15.1) Special Circumstances Communiqué titled “Postponement of Public Disclosure of Inside Information”, by taking the necessary measures regarding the confidentiality of this information in order to prevent the legitimate interests of our Company and investors from being damaged and to prevent our investors from being misled, regarding the conciliation process carried out before the Competition Authority in accordance with the Decision of our Board of Directors dated 17.03.2026 and numbered 1054/26. Within the scope of Article 6, it was decided to postpone the public disclosure of inside information until the final stage. The investigation, which is being carried out in accordance with the Competition Board’s decision numbered 25-07/165-M, was carried out by BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş. “It has been decided to terminate the transaction through reconciliation, and the amount to be paid by our Company has been determined as 67,217,829.62 TL (50,413,372 TL with a 25% early payment discount).”
