BİM commissioned its 27th Solar Power Plant Investment in Ağrı

BİM added a new one to its solar energy investments across Türkiye. The 1st phase of the Solar Power Plant project, which was commissioned in the Hamur district of Ağrı, will produce 90 million kWh of electricity annually with an installed power of 54.95 MW. Türkiye Elektrik İletim A.Ş. with grid connection at 154 kV high voltage level. The investment, which will operate directly in connection with the (TEİAŞ) system, will strengthen BİM’s renewable energy capacity and will also make a significant contribution to its sustainability goals.

BİM will reduce carbon emissions by 100 thousand tons annually with the 27 Solar Power Plant project.

BİM Head of Operations Tolga Şahin, regarding SPP investments: “The installed power of our 27 SPP projects, 6 of which are land type and 21 of which are roof type, has reached 151 MWp. While approximately 240 thousand MWh of electricity will be produced annually with our SPP investments across Turkey, carbon emissions will be reduced by approximately 150 thousand tons annually, which means an environmental contribution equivalent to the annual carbon sequestration of over 2.8 million trees.” made his statements.
