Agricultural input price index (Agriculture-GFE) increased by 33.15 percent on an annual basis and 1.3 percent on a monthly basis in December 2025.

Turkish Statistical Institute announced Agriculture-GFE data for December last year.

Accordingly, the index increased by 1.3 percent in December 2025 compared to the previous month, 33.15 percent compared to December of the previous year and 32.5 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.

In the main groups, there was a 1.14 percent increase in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and a 2.28 percent increase in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was a 34.48 percent increase in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and a 25.56 percent increase in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment.

SUBGROUPS

Compared to the annual Agriculture-GFE, 6 subgroups showed lower changes and 5 subgroups showed higher changes.

The subgroups with the lowest increase compared to the same month of the previous year were determined as agricultural pesticides with 18.29 percent, energy and lubricants with 21.13 percent, building maintenance costs with 21.79 percent, buildings with 24.52 percent, materials with 25.7 percent and machinery maintenance costs with 32.44 percent. The subgroups with the highest annual increase were recorded as veterinary expenditures with 72.78 percent, fertilizers and soil improvers with 44.95 percent, other goods and services with 40.37 percent, seeds and planting materials with 38.98 percent, and animal feed with 34.37 percent.

According to the monthly Agriculture-GFE, while 1 subgroup decreased, 2 subgroups showed a lower change and 8 subgroups showed a higher change. The subgroup that showed a decrease was energy and lubricants with 3.45 percent. The subgroups that showed less increase were other goods and services with 0.69 percent and agricultural pesticides with 0.93 percent. The subgroups with the highest monthly increase were recorded as veterinary expenses with 6.43 percent, seeds and planting materials with 2.36 percent, materials with 2.33 percent, fertilizer and soil improvers with 2.18 percent, animal feed with 2.15 percent, building maintenance expenses with 2.04 percent, buildings with 1.86 percent and machinery maintenance expenses with 1.39 percent.
