ROBOTS ARE PREPARING FOR WAR
The Chinese army is exploring military uses of humanoid robots. The studies focus particularly on perception, movement, object manipulation and training data, according to a Reuters review of more than 100 military documents, academic studies and procurement records. Chinese manufacturers accounted for approximately 95 percent of humanoid robot shipments worldwide in 2025.
HE WILL SERVE IN THE SAME TEAM AS A SOLDIER
The model China is working on is not for robots to completely replace human soldiers, but for them to serve in the same operation with soldiers. Reconnaissance, security, logistics and working in dangerous areas are among the prominent tasks. Chinese researchers are working on scenarios where robots could be used in urban conflicts in 5-10 years.
ROBOT TEAMS IN CITY WARS
A military study in China examined an urban warfare scenario in which six robots were distributed among two assault teams. It is envisaged that humanoid robots, robot dogs and unmanned vehicles will enter buildings together with soldiers and advance floor by floor and room by room. HUMAN WILL BE ABLE TO CONTROL A SOLDIER
The Chinese defense industry is developing fully autonomous robots as well as systems controlled remotely by humans. It is reported that Norinco is working on a teleoperation system for its humanoid robot called Fuxi. The remote control model aims to reduce the problem of the robot making critical decisions on its own on the battlefield.
