Turkish Airlines, one of Türkiye’s leading companies, has signed a giant collaboration.
THY, which has made advertising agreements with the world’s giant clubs and world-famous stars in the past years, this time sponsored the giant club of English football, Liverpool.
In the statement made on Liverpool’s website, it was stated that Turkish Airlines will be the main sponsor of the club as of June 1, 2027.
The Turkish Airlines logo will appear on the front of Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and academy teams’ jerseys starting from the 2027/28 season.
It is stated that the total value of the 5-year agreement will be over £ 300 million.
THY BROUGHT A FIRST AFTER 17 YEARS
A statement regarding the issue was made on Turkish Airlines’ official social media account.
The statement emphasized that Liverpool will have a new sponsor for the first time in 17 years and included the following statements:
“Turkish Airlines announced that it will be the Main Partner of Liverpool FC (Liverpool Football Club) as of June 1, 2027. Within the scope of the cooperation, the Turkish Airlines logo will appear on the front of the jerseys of Liverpool FC men’s, women’s and academy teams from the start of the 2027/28 season. This agreement represents the beginning of a new era in the commercial history of Liverpool FC, and is the first change in the Club’s Main Partner in 17 years.”

The front of the Liverpool jersey has a special place in the history of our club. Turkish Airlines is a world-renowned organization with a wide international flight network. We look forward to starting our cooperation and building a long-term, strong relationship on the strong foundations formed by our special memories dating back to 2005.”
This announcement is also an opportunity to recognize the outstanding contribution Standard Chartered has made to Liverpool FC over the last 17 years. They have been an important part of our journey during a very special period in our club’s history.
