The President’s decision regarding the privatization of the 15 July Martyrs and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges and some highways and surrounding highways, which are under the control of the General Directorate of Highways, for 30 years, was published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette. According to the decision of the President, the connection roads of Niğde-Pozantı Highway, Gaziantep Ring Highway and Bursa Ring Highway between Çağlayan Junction and Yenişehir Junction, which are under the responsibility of the General Directorate of Highways, and the maintenance, operation and service facilities, trade collection and freight transfer centers located on them, were included in the privatization scope and program.
The decision also pointed out the bridges and highways operated by the General Directorate of Highways, which were included in the scope of privatization in 2010. The bridges and highways included in the privatization scope and program on this date are as follows:
“Edirne-Istanbul-Ankara, Pozantı-Tarsus-Mersin, Tarsus-Adana-Gaziantep, Toprakkale-İskenderun, Gaziantep-Şanlıurfa,
İzmir-Çeşme, İzmir-Aydın Highways, İzmir and Ankara Ring Highways, Bosphorus Bridge (15 July Martyrs) and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and ring highway and their connection roads, service facilities, maintenance and operation facilities, toll collection centers and other goods and service production units and assets.
CONTRACT DURATION 30 YEARS
Bridges, highways, ring and connection roads will be privatized for 30 years. Privatization procedures will be completed by December 31, 2031.
