The amount transferred by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources to the Family and Youth Fund, which was established to support the family institution and protect young people against social risks, amounted to 21.9 billion lira.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, while the support provided to young people getting married through the Family and Youth Fund continues, the share transferred from energy and mining revenues is increasing day by day.
In order to create resources for the fund, the state share collected under the Turkish Petroleum Law and a part of the state right collected under the Mining Law are transferred to the fund by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
Within the scope of the application launched in 2024, the amount transferred to the fund this year exceeded 7.8 billion lira.
Thus, the total resource transferred to the Family and Youth Fund from oil and mining revenues reached 21.9 billion lira. 12.1 billion liras of this resource came from mines, and 9.8 billion liras came from oil and natural gas.
Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, whose views were included in the statement, stated that they mobilized the income obtained from local and national resources for the future of young people and said, “To date, the resources we have transferred from our oil, natural gas and mining revenues to the Family and Youth Fund have reached 21.9 billion liras. With this opportunity we have provided, we have supported more than 185 thousand young people to establish a home and realize their dreams. We will continue to work non-stop with the goal of a Fully Independent Turkey in Energy and use the riches of our country for the welfare of our young people.” he said.
Young people who are getting married who meet the necessary conditions to benefit from the Family and Youth Fund are provided with 250 thousand liras of support if they are between the ages of 18-25, and 200 thousand liras of support if they are between the ages of 26-29.
